Laith KarimManaging Director
With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Laith has played a pivotal role in shaping the direction and reputation of Empire Brokers. His extensive industry knowledge, coupled with his ability to connect with a wide range of clients, has been instrumental in the company’s long‑standing success. As an Arabic speaker, he has helped position Empire Brokers as a trusted provider of financial and insurance services for clients from Middle Eastern backgrounds, establishing the firm as a trusted partner in this community.

Laith’s career began in 1985 with Legal & General, and since then he has built a wealth of experience across the financial services landscape. After registering the business as a limited company in 1997, he has continued to drive its growth, development, and commitment to professionalism. His leadership is centred around maintaining strong, long‑term relationships with both clients and providers, ensuring that service quality remains at the heart of everything the business delivers.

Outside of work, Laith enjoys spending quality time with his family, travelling, and pursuing his passion for gardening.

Yusuf Karim
Yusuf KarimOperations Manager
Yusuf joined the business after graduating in Business Accounting in 2010, beginning his career as an Accounts Administrator before progressing into client‑facing roles as an Account Handler and later an Account Manager. Known for his meticulous approach and high attention to detail, he has developed a strong operational understanding and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. These qualities ultimately led him to his current role as Operations Manager, where he oversees a select portfolio of clients and manages the general insurance function alongside wider operational responsibilities.

Outside of work, he enjoys photography, travelling, and exploring different cultures and cuisines.

Ravish ThakkarAccount Manager
Ravish began his insurance career in 2007 with Allianz Insurance, building a strong foundation in corporate life insurance and risk management. With over 17 years of industry experience, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of the insurance landscape and a deep commitment to delivering tailored solutions that meet clients’ evolving needs.
A key member of the team, Ravish supports a diverse portfolio of clients, with particular specialisms in landlord insurance, jewellery shop cover, restaurant insurance, and household policies. His attention to detail, proactive service style and dedication to securing the right protection ensure clients receive both reliable cover and a seamless experience.

Outside of work, Ravish enjoys cooking, watching films, and is a passionate supporter of the India national cricket team and Arsenal Football Club.

Roy Thakkar
Roy ThakkarSenior Account Manager
Roy brings over twenty years of experience in insurance broking, working across both personal lines and complex commercial cases. His extensive background and versatile skill set allow him to assess risks thoroughly, identify gaps in cover, and ensure businesses have the right protection in place. A dedicated and proactive broker, he values strong relationships with both clients and underwriters, helping him deliver tailored, dependable solutions.

Outside of work, Roy enjoys spending time with his young family and has a deep passion for football. He plays for a local senior team, manages and coaches a youth side, and is an enthusiastic supporter of Liverpool FC.

Oliver Marley
Oliver MarleySenior Mortgage and Protection Adviser
Oliver is a Senior Mortgage and Protection Adviser with 16 years of industry experience. Throughout his career, he has developed specialist expertise in supporting self‑employed clients, contractors, landlords, and those seeking Buy to Let mortgages. Known for his calm and thorough approach, he takes pride in guiding clients through complex applications and helping them find solutions tailored to their individual circumstances.

Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new restaurants, has a strong passion for cars, and comes from a large family with twelve aunts and uncles, making family gatherings lively and memorable. At home, life is full and rewarding with a growing young family.

GinnanAccounts Manager
Ginnan is a highly experienced Accounts Manager who oversees all accounting functions within the company. She began her career at TSB Bank in 1985 and has since built an extensive background across the financial and healthcare sectors, holding a variety of roles in banking as well as managing dental practices throughout central London. Her breadth of experience and dependable approach make her a vital part of the business’s financial operations.
